The internationally famous owner has used all her artistic skills in creating the essence of sea inspired relaxation, with hints of Zen in the decor. Decorated throughout in pure white and creams, the soft linen bed drapes set off the outstanding deep blue of the Ocean. The brushed white wood style is reminiscent of the Caribbean and Cape Cod villas.

The villa is built on three levels, below the level of the road and next to the beach. Entrance is in to the top floor of the villa, which has an open plan kitchen, living and dining area and a large sea facing balcony. The second level has four bedrooms and three bathrooms with a sea facing balcony off the master bedroom. The third level is the ground floor with a second kitchen, living and dining area, a double bedroom and bathroom. This level opens onto the pool and patio area, which is separated from the beach by a high white fence. There is a gate from the pool deck that leads to the beach path.

Access to the villa is from Victoria Road on the northern approach to Camps Bay. Step off the street and descend a private stair way. The large wooden, Moroccan styled outdoor entrance way keeps the rest of the world at bay. Descend a further flight of steps, past the flowing water feature, and enter the villa’s top floor.

The first impression is of the high, white timber ceilings and views of the sea framed by the patio doors. There is a touch of salty freshness around you and the overhead fans ensure a light breeze even on the hottest days.

When you step onto the balcony the sea is right in front of you, stretching to the horizon. There are large comfortable outdoor chairs with big cushions where you can dream away your days listening to the sea,  soaking up the sun or enjoying cocktails as the sun sets in a golden ball.

The house was designed in the 1960’s  by Revel Fox, arguably South Africa’s most renowned architect. It is considered a South African architectural landmark. In 2009, major expansion & renovation was done keeping the original form while adding a second story over the front half of the house. Guest can enjoy a full and unobstructed views of the sea and Table Mountain from most rooms in the house.

Inside, the house has been totally renovated, with an all new kitchen, all new bathrooms, all new floors, all new everything. Master suites on both the first and second floors and two additional bedrooms (2 x twin beds each) downstairs, sleeping 8 in total.

Outside, guests will find a built-in wood-burning Braai (BBQ), a 6-foot California redwood hot tub with room for 6 and patios back and front. Use the back patio for privacy and the front patio to enjoy magnificent sunsets over the water.

Beyond the house, you have miles of white sand beach at your doorstep. Try kite surfing, if you are young and brave enough. Equipment and lessons available just down the street. You are walking distance to great restaurants like Ons Huisie, On the Rocks and Café Blouberg. Upscale shopping is minutes away. You are 5 minutes to great golf, 15-20 minutes to city center, and under 30 minutes to Clifton and Camps Bay, to the sports venues (cricket, rugby and soccer), and the wine routes. On the ground floor are two very big lounges, a dining table for 12 people, a breakfast table that sits 8 plus a kitchen and a small kitchenette for breakfast to make your stay extremely comfortable with all the facilities you can expect of five star accommodation: two poster refrigerator, ice maker machine, two microwaves, an electric oven …. and so on. The right handed lounge has a 42″ flat screen TV with the sound system having amplifiers in all the ground floor. Both lounges have air con and fire places. A fully equipped separate utility room, 2 guest toilets and 2 double garages.

The furniture is of an outstanding level and the area spacious enough to easily entertain 20-30 guests. It is the perfect entertainment house!!

The Bloubergstrand area falls within a Marine Nature Reserve where delicacies such as Jasus lalandii (also called the Cape rock lobster or West Coast rock lobster) and “perlemoen” or abalone can be found. To catch previously well-known local varieties of Galjoen and Hottentot, the hopeful angler has to be in possession of a license. Seafood is popular including the local white mussels. In season Southern Right Whales, occasionally Killer Whales, Humpback Dolphins, Haviside’s Dolphin and Cape Fur Seals are commonly seen in the bay.

Bloubergstrand has a long white sandy beach on the Atlantic ocean, with a few rocky outcrops where black mussels are found. The water is cold due to the cold Benguela Current but the beach is popular with surfers. The bay on the west side of Bloubergstrand, known as ‘Big Bay’ has become a very popular kitesurfing spot due to the constant trade winds bringing a 1-3m surf for a majority of the year. Big Bay Beach is also well known for the ease with which White Mussels (a species of the family Donax) can be extracted from the sand by a process locally known as ‘jiving’

Blouberg Heaven is located in a quiet and quaint little street close to well know restaurants such as On The Rocks and Ons Huisie and within easy reach of Eden on the Bay for all your shopping needs.
