The Rock Post offers a luxurious country experience for larger groups or families.
In a beautiful setting, nestled against a magnificent rock outcrop, it is completely private, with beautiful views over the Olifants River valley to the north.

The delightful vernacular style, electricity-free cottage has a spacious open plan living area with fireplace, three bedrooms (1 x queen + 2 x singles + 2 x 3/4 beds), a full bathroom with both bath and shower and a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and fridge.

A generous stoep leads onto the terrace around a sparkling plunge pool with white river stones on the bottom. The heavenly outdoor shower set among rocks makes for a sublimely romantic experience and the WC with a view will be something to remember!

A built-in braai on the stoep and undercover parking complete the picture. Bedding and towels are provided and the cottage can be serviced on request. All you need to bring is food and drink and lots of leisure time!

FYNBOS COTTAGE

Take the winding road through citrus orchards and natural fynbos along a stream deep into the mountains and you will discover romantic Fynbos luxury cottage. Set in a natural mountain basin 2 km from the other cottages, Fynbos Cottage is truly private and isolated from the stress of the outside world. This charming cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, and the other with two singles, plus a double sleeper couch in the lounge – sleeping maximum 6 people in total. The appliances in both the kitchen and bathroom are all gas-operated to enhance that special mountain ambience.

The sitting room has an indoor fireplace and double French doors, leading out onto the undercover stoep with spectacular views over the plunge pool to the valley below.

The pool, inlaid with white river stones on the bottom, is guarded by a lemon and citrus orchard in front. Pool loungers complete the exquisite feel of bush luxury and sense of wellness whilst the majestic Cederberg Mountains provide a dramatic backdrop.

Fynbos Cottage is set in a 2000 ha wilderness area where guests can hike through the veld or to the Rooibos tea plantations, take a 4×4 drive and swim in the secluded mountain dam approximately 300 meters from the cottage. Small game abound around Fynbos Cottage and during the late afternoons guests can watch as eagles hunt for basking dassies in the cliffs in front of the cottage.

ORCHARD COTTAGE

This unique hideaway for the discerning guest is set under magnificent oak trees, next to a stream in a mountain kloof.

With the emphasis on comfort and complete privacy, Orchard Cottage provides every modern convenience. Air-conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen with stove, fridge and microwave, Jetmaster fireplace, colour TV (with M-Net), CD player, bathroom with both bath and shower and the tasteful interior are all planned to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

A sparkling plunge pool, an outside barbecue area and undercover parking complete the picture. Bedding and towels are provided and the cottage can be serviced on request. All you need to bring is food and drink and lots of leisure time!

Orchard Cottage has two bedrooms – one with double bed and another with two singles – and sleeps two more on day beds in the lounge. (Max. 6)

Several hiking or mountain biking trails and a 4×4 trail in the pristine fynbos mountain provide an opportunity to enjoy the unique ecological splendour of the Western Cape.
